CHILDREN'S CHURCH - SUNDAY MORNING 10 A.M.
Children join their families in the sanctuary for the worship time and then are dismissed to meet their teacher in the back of the sanctuary. The children's service is designed to guide kids to encounter God personally through powerful stories, interactive songs and prayer time. Please make sure to sign-in your child to children's church at the Welcome Table as you enter the worship service. Pick you child up in the children's wing after the service. |
Important Information and FAQ's
Safety:
At NHBC, we value and welcome children and families. One of the ways we do that is by providing a clean, safe environment for them. We require our adult volunteers to go through a screening process and part of that is a complete background check as well as annual training. We also require our youth volunteers to provide several character references and participate in training.
Another way we value the safety of your children is by using a check-in, check-out procedure.

Check-In Procedure:
To ensure the safety of the children in our care we require all families to follow our check-in process.
Children's Church
- Bring your child to the Welcome table at the entrance to the sanctuary before the service begins
- Sign-in your child to Children's Church on the clipboard.
- The volunteer at the table will hand you a sticker with a number on it that matches the name tag we will give your child. Please keep that numbered sticker.
- Children who regularly attend have a passport name tag where they earn stickers for attendance to earn a prize.
- Families who regularly attend have a family card which they will turn in to their child's teacher to pick up their child.
- To pick up your child, go to the Asia room in the children's wing and turn in your numbered sticker or family card and the teacher will match that to your child's name tag. The teacher will keep all the name tags.
FAQs
What if I lose my family card or numbered sticker?
Return to the check-in desk in the children's wing and bring your ID. The volunteer will match your ID to the release permissions on your child's registration form and issue another family card or a release permission slip for a lost sticker.
My child is in 4th-6th grade, do I really need to pick them up?
Children in 4th-6th grade need to be signed-in, but may sign themselves out with their teacher if the parents have allowed it on their registration form.
What if my child needs me during one of the services?
The teacher will call or text the parent using one of the phone numbers given on the registration form/stickers.
My child has difficulty being away from me, may I stay with him?
We require background checks for everyone involved with our children's ministries to ensure the safety of the children. We understand that it may be difficult to leave your child in our care and will do all that we can to make you and your child comfortable. With this in mind, we encourage you to join the adult ministries while your child is with us. If you child is inconsolable after 15 minutes, we will contact you either by text or phone call.
What happens if I am late to pick up my child?
Our teachers must stay with the children until each one has been picked-up. Please be considerate to our teachers' time by picking your child up in a timely manner.
